Cody A. Mott is a corporate transactional attorney specializing in the areas of corporate governance, contract drafting, and M&A. Cody has also advised local nonprofits on everything from entity formation to grant writing to conducting fundraising campaigns. He excels at turning big ideas into actionable steps and then working with the team to turn those steps into reality. 

 

Cody holds a B.B.A. in finance and business economics from Grand Valley State University and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While in law school, he served as an articles editor for the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies, was awarded brief writing honors at the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition, and helped his fellow students file their taxes as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Prior to all of that, Cody worked as a legislative aide in the Michigan House of Representatives.

 

Cody lives in Grand Rapids Township with his wife, Meghan. Together, they enjoy travelling and spending time with family and friends.
