Katie Gilbert, M.Ed 

Katie Gilbert is an experienced educator who has been serving in the field of education since 2001. Throughout her career, she has witnessed the significant impact that a positive work environment has on educators and recognizes the vital role that teacher well-being plays in fostering effective teaching and student success. Katie has been at Northview Public Schools since 2018. She has taught grades K-5 and is currently the district's K-6 Instructional Coach. Katie has a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is a GVSU graduate -  Laker Up!

Katie is honored to be part of Opportunity Thrive. "Educators need a support system to help with the challenges the classroom can bring. It is important to 'keep your own cup full' so you can pour into others."

When Katie is not teaching or learning, she enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and two adult children.
